ARANOA – Neubau für Aranui Cruises
Ab 2027 in unberührte Inselwelten im Süd-Pazifik
Die Compagnie Polynésienne de Transport Maritime (CPTM) betreibt mit der ARANUI 5 einen kombinierten Fracht- und Passagierdienst zwischen Tahiti und den Marquesas-Inseln in Französisch-Polynesien. Über die Marke Aranui Cruises werden hier mit diesem Schiff auch Kreuzfahrten angeboten.
Nun hat die Reederei ein zweites Schiff bestellt, mit dem die abgelegenen Austral-Inseln versorgt werden sollen und Reisende eine unberührte Inselwelt fernab touristischer Pfade kennenlernen können. Das neue Schiff, die ARANOA, soll 2027 in Dienst gestellt werden. Es wird Platz für 198 Passagiere in 93 Kabinen haben, 62 davon mit Balkon. Zwei Restaurants, Bars, ein Spa, Fitness-Raum und Tattoo-Studio gehören zum Angebot an Bord. Gebaut wird das Schiff in China.

Die Austral-Inseln sind ein bis heute relativ unentdeckter Archipel bestehend aus sieben Inseln, fünf davon bewohnt: Rimatara, Rurutu, Tubuai, Raivavae und Rapa. Insgesamt leben dort nur 6.800 Menschen in ziemlich unberührter Natur. Beeindruckend ist das Weiß der Sandstrände im Kontrast zum intensiven Blau der Lagunen.
ARANOA – New Ship for Aranui Cruises
The Compagnie Polynésienne de Transport Maritime (CPTM) operates the ARANUI 5, a combined cargo and passenger service between Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. Through their Aranui Cruises brand they are also offering cruises.
The shipping company has now ordered a second ship to serve the remote Austral Islands and allow travelers to discover an untouched island world far from the tourist trail. The new ship, the ARANOA, is scheduled to enter service in 2027. It will accommodate 198 passengers in 93 cabins, 62 of which have balconies. Two restaurants, bars, a spa, a gym, and a tattoo studio are also on board. The ship is being built in China.
