COSTA SERENA in Dry Dock on Mazhou Island
Extensive upgrades on board
Costa Crociere’s COSTA SERENA is currently in the dry dock of China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd. on Mazhou Island near Shenzhen. In addition to routine maintenance, the cruise ship is undergoing extensive upgrades. These include three new restaurants on board:
– The Archipelago: This will feature menus created by Michelin-starred chefs
– The Pizzeria Pummid’Oro
– The Sushino@Costa sushi bar
In addition, the main restaurants will receive modernized designs, as will the pool decks. The suites will also be renovated.
The COSTA SERENA (IMO 9343132) was built in 2006/2007 by Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente. She is 289.60 meters long and has a gross tonnage of 114,147 tons. She has a passenger capacity of 3,780 passengers.
