Crypto Cruise Ship: Das Projekt Community Ship ist gescheitert
Noch ein Kreuzfahrtschiff in die Verschrottung
Die ehemalige PACIFIC DAWN, die unter dem Namen SATOSHI als Community Ship vor der Küste Panamas vor Anker gehen sollte, ist gescheitert. Laut Betreibergesellschaft Ocean Builders seien dem Projekt zu viel Steine in den Weg gelegt worden. So hätte sich beispielsweise kein P & I Club finden lassen, der das Schiff zu einer realistischen Prämie versichern wollte.
Das Kreuzfahrtschiff wurde inzwischen wohl bereits zum Abbruch verkauft und soll dazu nach Alang in Indien überführt werden.
Mit der PACIFIC DAWN, 1991 gebaut als REGAL PRINCESS (IMO 8521232), wird nun auch das Schwesterschiff der KARNIKA, ehemals CROWN PRINCESS (IMO 8521220) verschrottet.

Another cruise ship being scrapped
The former PACIFIC DAWN, which was supposed to anchor off the coast of Panama under the name SATOSHI as a community ship, has failed. According to the operating company Ocean Builders, too many obstacles were put in the way of the project. For example, no P&I club could have been found that wanted to insure the ship at a realistic premium.
The cruise ship has now been sold for scrapping and is to be transferred to Alang in India.
With the PACIFIC DAWN, built in 1991 as REGAL PRINCESS (IMO 8521232), the sister ship of the KARNIKA, formerly CROWN PRINCESS (IMO 8521220), is now also being scrapped.
