Erster Stahlschnitt für EXPLORA II

Zügiger Aufbau der Flotte für Explora Journey

Nur 6 Monate nach dem offiziellen Baubeginn für die EXPLORA I feierten MSC Cruises nun den ersten Stahlschnitt für die EXPLORA II. Der Stahlschnitt erfolgte auf der Werft in Castellamare di Stabia bei Neapel, das Schiff wird aber bei Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente gebaut.

EXPLORA I und EXPLORA II sind die ersten beiden von insgesamt vier Kreuzfahrtschiffen, die MSC für ihre neue Luxusmarke Explora Journey bauen lassen.

EXPLORA I soll 2023 und EXPLORA II soll 2024 fertig gestellt werden. Beide Schiffe werden mit jeweils 64.000 gross tons vermessen sein.

First steel cut for EXPLORA II

Only 6 months after the official construction start for the EXPLORA I, MSC Cruises celebrated the first steel cut for the EXPLORA II. The steel cut took place at the shipyard in Castellamare di Stabia near Naples, but the ship is being built at Fincantieri in Sestri Ponente. EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II are the first two of a total of four cruise ships that MSC has built for their new luxury brand Explora Journey. EXPLORA I is be completed in 2023 and EXPLORA II in 2024. Both ships will be measured with 64,000 gross tons each.
