First Sea Trials Completed: ORIENT EXPRESS CORINTHIAN
Luxury cruise ship in the tradition of the famous luxury railway
The ORIENT EXPRESS CORINTHIAN, currently under construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, has completed its first sea trials. According to the shipyard, the focus was on testing the sailing systems.
The ORIENT EXPRESS CORINTHIAN will be a state-of-the-art luxury sailing cruise ship for the Accor Group. The ship can be powered 100% by wind. LNG-powered engines are available as a backup. The sails are rotatable through 360°.
The ORIENT EXPRESS CORINTHIAN is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2026 and will initially be deployed for Mediterranean cruises. She will then be transferred to the Caribbean.
A second ship in this series, the ORIENT EXPRESS OLYMPIAN, will follow for Accor.
