Am 10. April 2025 wurde die MEIN SCHIFF RELAX in Malaga, Spanien, getauft.

Wybcke Meier, CEO von TUI Cruises, eröffnete gemeinsam mit Moderatorin Judith Rakers, die durch den Abend führte, die offizielle Tauf-Show. Das mehrstündige Event unter dem Motto „Relaxing rocks“ war geprägt von vielen musikalischen Highlights, wie beispielsweise lokalen Künstlern, u.a. Giovanni Zarrella und Wohlfühlbotschafter Robbie Williams. Der internationale Superstar begeisterte die Gäste nicht nur der MEIN SCHIFF RELAX, sondern auch der MEIN SCHIFF  5, MEIN SCHIFF 7, die zum Tauf-Event ebenfalls in Malaga lagen.

Taufpatin des achten Neubaus von TUI Cruises war Giuliana Rizzo, langjährige Mitarbeiterin bei TUI Cruise und SPA & Sport Managerin der MEIN SCHIFF RELAX. Sie schritt, begleitet vom Schutzgesang eines 36-köpfigen andalusischen Chores, durch ein gigantisches, digital projiziertes Portal. Die Inszenierung fand mit einem pyrotechnischen Effekt entlang einer 120 Meter langen Raketenlinie zum Bug des Schiffes und dem Zerschellen der Champagnerflasche sowie einem Feuerwerk ihren Höhepunkt.

On April 10, 2025, MEIN SCHIFF RELAX was christened in Malaga, Spain.

Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, opened the official christening ceremony together with presenter Judith Rakers, who hosted the event. The several-hour event, themed „Relaxing Rocks,“ featured numerous musical highlights, including local artists such as Giovanni Zarrella and wellness ambassador Robbie Williams. The international superstar thrilled guests not only on MEIN SCHIFF RELAX, but also on MEIN SCHIFF 5 and MEIN SCHIFF 7, which were also in Malaga for the christening ceremony.

The godmother of TUI Cruises‘ eighth new ship was Giuliana Rizzo, a long-time TUI Cruise employee and SPA & Sport Manager on MEIN SCHIFF RELAX. Accompanied by the protective chant of a 36-member Andalusian choir, she walked through a gigantic, digitally projected portal. The performance culminated in a pyrotechnic effect along a 120-meter-long rocket line to the bow of the ship, the shattering of the champagne bottle, and a fireworks display.
