Kleiner Traditionsbruch bei MSC Cruises
Am 13. November 2022 wurde die MSC WORLD EUROPA (IMO 9837420), das neueste Kreuzfahrtschiff von MSC Cruises, in Doha, Qatar, getauft. Die Feier wurde moderiert von Comedian und Produzenten Hamad al Amari. Taufpatin war Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Mitglied des katarischen Königshauses.
Die Gäste der Tauf-Feier durften sich an einer modernen Video-Projektion auf dem Schiffsrumpf, an einer großartigen Drohnen-Light-Show sowie an Auftritten lokaler Künstler erfreuen. Als großes Finale trat Sänger und Songwriter Matteo Bocelli auf.
Die MSC WORLD EUROPA ist mit einer Länge von 333 Metern und einer Bruttoraumzahl von 215.863 das neue Flaggschiff und erste LNG-betriebene Schiff von MSC Cruises. Der Cruise Liner wird am 20. Dezember zu seiner Jungfernfahrt aufbrechen.
In der Wintersaison 2022/23 läuft die MSC WORLD EUROPA auf 7-Nächte-Kreuzfahrten die Häfen Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Damman sowie Sir Bani Yas Island an. Für die Sommersaison 2023 wird sie im westlichen Mittelmeer stationiert. Auf 7-Nächte-Kreuzfahrten werden dann die Häfen Genua, Neapel, Messina, Valletta, Barcelona und Marseille angelaufen.

MSC Cruises‘ newest cruise ship, MSC WORLD EUROPA (IMO 9837420), was christened on November 13, 2022 in Doha, Qatar. The celebration was hosted by comedian and producer Hamad al Amari. Godmother was Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, a member of the Qatari royal family.
The guests of the christening ceremony enjoyed to watch a modern video projection on the ship’s hull, a great drone light show and performances by local artists. Singer and songwriter Matteo Bocelli performed as the grand finale.
With a length of 333 meters and a gross tonnage of 215,863, the MSC WORLD EUROPA is MSC Cruises‘ new flagship and first LNG-powered ship. The cruise liner will depart for its maiden voyage on December 20th.
In the 2022/23 winter season, MSC WORLD EUROPA will call at the ports of Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Damman as well as on Sir Bani Yas Island on 7-night cruises. For the 2023 summer season, she will be stationed in the Western Mediterranean. The ports of Genoa, Naples, Messina, Valletta, Barcelona and Marseille are then called at on 7-night cruises.
