Weiterer Cruise Liner wird verschrottet
Der Cruise Liner COLUMBUS hat sich auf den Weg von Griechenland nach Alang in Indien gemacht. Es ist damit die letzte Reise für dieses Kreuzfahrtschiff. Gebaut 1988 / 89 bei den Chantiers de l’Atlantique im französischen Saint Nazaire und als STAR PRINCESS in Dienst gestellt, fuhr das Kreuzfahrtschiff bis zum Ausbrechen der Corona-Pandemie für die britischen Cruise & Maritime Voyages. Mit der Pandemie kam das Aus für CMV. Die COLUMBUS schien mit der Versteigerung der Verschrottung entkommen zu sein. Doch nun wird auch dieser mehr als 30 Jahre alte Liner auf dem Strand in Alang enden.

Another cruise liner to be scrapped
The cruise liner COLUMBUS recently left Greece and is now heading to Alang in India. It will be the last voyage for this cruise ship. Built in 1988/89 by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint Nazaire, France and commissioned as STAR PRINCESS, the cruise ship sailed for the British Cruise & Maritime Voyages until the outbreak of the corona pandemic. With the pandemic came the end for CMV. The COLUMBUS appeared to have escaped scrapping with the auction. But now this more than 30 year old liner will also end on the beach in Alang.
