Am 18. November 2021 fand auf der Privat-Insel Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve die Taufe der MSC SEASHORE statt. Es war das allererste Mal, dass ein Kreuzfahrtschiff auf einer Privat-Insel getauft wurde. Taufpatin war – Überraschung: Sophia Loren. Es war ihre 16. Taufe eines MSC-Kreuzfahrtschiffs.

Zusammen mit der Taufe der MSC SEASHORE fand übrigens auch die offizielle Einweihung des Meeresschutzgebiets Ocean Cay statt. Dazu gehörte auch der erste Spatenstich für ein Meeresschutzzentrum der MSC Foundation, welches Labore und Korallen-Aufzuchtgebiete umfasst.

MSC SEASHORE wird fortan für 7-Nächte-Krezfahrten ab / bis Port Miami eingesetzt.

The christening of the MSC SEASHORE took place on November 18, 2021 on the private island Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. It was the very first time a cruise ship had been christened on a private island. Godmother was – surprise: Sophia Loren. It was her 16th christening of an MSC cruise ship.

Along with the naming ceremony of MSC SEASHORE, the official inauguration of the Ocean Cay marine reserve also took place. This also included the groundbreaking ceremony for a marine protection center of the MSC Foundation, which includes laboratories and coral breeding areas.

From now on, MSC SEASHORE will be used for 7-night cruises from / to Port Miami.
