VIKING MIRA (IMO 9852456) was launched on July 31st. This marks a significant milestone in the ship’s construction phase. The VIKING MIRA is considered a small ship, weighing 54,300 tons, and accommodates 998 guests in 499 cabins. The ship is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage in spring 2026, sailing routes in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe. The ceremony took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona.

The float out marks the beginning of the final phase of the ship’s construction. The launch of the VIKING MIRA began on July 31st at approximately 11:00 a.m. local time with the cutting of the ceremonial cord, which allowed the water to enter the ship’s construction dock. After a two-day float out process, VIKING MIRA will then be moved to a nearby outfitting dock for final assembly and interior work.
