Pullmantur vor dem Aus?
Die spanische Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Pullmantur Cruceros, ein Joint Venture von Cruises Investment Holding und der Royal Caribbean-Gruppe, hat die Umstrukturierung nach den spanischen Insolvenzgesetzen beantragt.
Laut einer Erklärung stellte der Verwaltungsrat von Pullmantur fest, dass die beispiellosen Auswirkungen der COVID-19-Pandemie die erforderlichen Maßnahmen erforderlich machten. Die Mitarbeiter wurden bereits entsprechend informiert.
Das könnte das Ende der Marke Pullmantur bedeuten, denn Besatzungsmitglieder berichteten bereits von Bord der Schiffe, dass sie Ausrüstung und andere Vorrichtungen entfernten.
Sämtliche Reisen bis zum 15. November 2020 wurden gestrichen. Die Royal Caribbean Group gab bekannt, dass Gästen, die bereits für Pullmantur gebucht hatten, die Möglichkeit geboten wird, auf anderen Royal Caribbean-Marken wie Royal Caribbean International und Celebrity Cruises zu reisen.
Die Flotte der Pullmantur Cruises besteht aus den drei Kreuzfahrtschiffen SOVEREIGN (Baujahr 1988, 73192 gross tons), MONARCH (Baujahr 1991, 73192 gross tons) und HORIZON (Baujahr 1990, 47427 gross tons).
The end of Pullmantur Cruises?
The Spanish cruise company Pullmantur Cruceros, a joint venture between Cruises Investment Holding and the Royal Caribbean Group, has filed for reorganziation under Spanish insolvency laws.
According to a statement, Pullmantur’s board of directors noted that the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic required the necessary action. The employees have already been informed accordingly.
That could mean the end of the Pullmantur brand, as crew members already reported from board of the ships that they were removing equipment and other devices.
All trips up to November 15, 2020 have been canceled. The Royal Caribbean Group announced that guests who have already booked for Pullmantur will be able to travel on other Royal Caribbean brands such as Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.
The fleet of Pullmantur Cruises consists of the three cruise ships, the SOVEREIGN (year of construction 1988, 73192 gross tons), MONARCH (year of construction 1991, 73192 gross tons) and HORIZON (year of construction 1990, 47427 gross tons).
