Preparing for the Winter Season

The SAPPHIRE PRINCESS (IMO 9228186), operated by Princess Cruises, is currently docked at the Vigor Shipyard in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Built in 2004, the ship is currently undergoing routine maintenance, including technical upgrades and class inspections. Minor upgrades and general maintenance are also planned for public areas and cabins. Sapphire Princess will welcome guests again on October 8, 2025, and depart from Los Angeles for a seven-day cruise to the Mexican Riviera.

The 2,600-passenger ship is scheduled to spend the winter cruising to South America and Antarctica, as well as embark on a 32-day cruise to the South Pacific and Hawaii.

The SAPPHIRE PRINCESS is a Gem-class ship. It was built from 2002 to 2004 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki, Japan. It is 290 meters long and has a gross tonnage of 115,875
