SEVEN SEAS PRESTIGE Floated Out
Christening Ceremony at the Shipyard
The first Prestige-class cruise ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the SEVEN SEAS PRESTIGE, was recently floated out for the first time at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy. This milestone in the ship’s construction was celebrated at the shipyard with a small christening ceremony. Shipyard employee Brunetta Casara served as godmother. She christened the ship in the traditional manner by smashing a bottle of champagne against the bow before the construction dock was flooded.
The SEVEN SEAS PRESTIGE (IMO 1036238) will be 224 meters long with a gross tonnage of 76,500. She will accommodate 822 passengers and have a crew of 630. The cruise liner is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
