Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff mit Aus“flugs“-Programm!

Die in Seattle, USA, ansässigen Quark Expeditions, haben am 1. April 2021 mit der ULTRAMARINE (IMO 9861017) ihren allerersten Neubau übernommen. Die Übernahme des Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiffs, welches für 199 Passgiere ausgelegt ist, erfolgte im kroatischen Split. Gebaut wurde das Schiff auf der Brodosplit-Werft.

Die ULTRAMARINE ist 128 Meter lang und mit Eisklasse 1A+ /PC6 ausgestattet. An Bord befinden sich zwei Helikopter für Aus“flüge“.

First newbuild delivered for Quark Expeditions

Quark Expeditions, based in Seattle, USA, took over their very first new ship on April 1, 2021 with the ULTRAMARINE (IMO 9861017). The takeover of the expedition cruise ship, which is designed for 199 passengers, took place in Split, Croatia. The ship was built at the Brodosplit shipyard. The ULTRAMARINE is 128 meters long and has ice class 1A + / PC6. There are two helicopters on board, which will be used for excursions.

Kiellegung für Expedition Cruise Liner JANSSONIUS

Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff Janssonius

Der zweite Neubau für die niederländische Gesellschaft Oceanwide Expeditions wurde jetzt auf Kiel gelegt. Die JANSSONIUS wird ebenso wie ihr Vorgängerschiff, die HONDIUS (IMO 9818709), auf der Brodosplit-Werft in Kroatien gebaut. Ebenso wie ihr Schwesterschiff erhält sie die Eisklasse PC 6.

Das 107,60 Meter lange und 17,60 Meter breite Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff wird ausgelegt für 196 Passagiere in 85 Kabinen bei einer Besatzungsstärke von 70. Die Vermessung wird bei 5.590 gross tons liegen. Ablieferung ist für 2021 geplant.

Keel Laying Ceremony for Expedition Cruise Liner JANSSONIUS

The second new building for the Dutch company Oceanwide Expeditions was now laid on keel. Like her predecessor, the HONDIUS (IMO 9818709), the JANSSONIUS is built at the Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia. Also like her sister ship, she will be constructed with Polar class PC 6.

The 107.60 meter long and 17.60 meter wide expedition cruise ship is designed for 196 passengers in 85 cabins with a crew apacity of 70. The gross tonnage will be 5,590. Delivery is planned for 2021.

DIV Shipbuilding sichert sich Neubau-Auftrag für Luxus-Liner

MY NJORD_ Illustration_Ocean Residences Development Ltd. (ORD)

Ocean Residences Development Ltd. mit Sitz auf Malta und Wurzeln in Norwegen hat den Auftrag zum Bau eines Residenz-Schiffs vergeben. Den Auftrag erhält DIV Shipbuilding, zu der die Kleven Verft In Norwegen sowie die Brodosplit-Werft in Kroatien gehören. Beide Werften sollen den neuen Luxus-Liner bauen. Es handelt sich bei dem Projekt um ein Residenz-Schiff (ähnlich wie das Schiff THE WORLD). Der Name des Schiffs wird M/Y NJORD sein. Der Luxus-Liner soll 290 Meter lang werden und mit 118 Appartments ausgestattet sein. Ablieferung ist für 2024 vorgesehen.

Bau und Ausstattung

Dabei soll der Rohbau auf der Brodosplit-Werft entstehen und dann nach Norwegen geschleppt werden. Die Kleven-Werft soll schließlich den End-Ausbau vornehmen.

An Bord der M/Y NJORD soll auch ein ozeanographisches und atmosphärisches Labor mit hochwertiger technischer Ausstattung eingerichtet werden. Dazu gehören u.a. Drohnen sowie ein Teleskop. Wissenschaftler und Experten sollen während der Reisen rund um den Globus Daten zu Umwelt-, Meeres- und Luftbedingungen sammeln sowie neue Karten vom Meeresgrund erstellen. Alle gesammelten Daten sollen der Allgemeinheit zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

DIV Shipbuilding secures new order for luxury liner

Ocean Residences Development Ltd., based in Malta and with roots in Norway, has awarded DIV Shipbuilding to build a residence ship. DIV Shipbuilding is consisting of Kleven Verft in Norway and Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia. Both shipyards are to build the new luxury liner. The project is a residence ship (similar to the ship THE WORLD). The name of the ship will be M/Y NJORD. The luxury liner will be 290 meters long and equipped with 118 apartments. Delivery is scheduled for 2024.

Construction and equipment

The hull is to be built at the Brodosplit shipyard and then towed to Norway. The Kleven shipyard should finally carry the technical and inside works.

M/Y NJORD is to be equipped even with an oceanographic and atmospheric laboratory with high-quality technical equipment. These include drones as well as a telescope. Scientists and experts are expected to collect data on environmental, marine and air conditions as well as create new maps of the ocean floor while traveling around the world. All data collected should be made available to the general public.
