Umbau der AMBIENCE ist abgeschlossen
Taufe am 19. April in Tilbury
Die neu gegründete, britische Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Ambassador Cruise Line kann ihren ersten Cruise Liner in Dienst stellen. Der Umbau der AMBIENCE in Kroatien wurde kürzlich abgeschlossen, so dass das Schiff nach Großbritannien überführt werden kann, wo am 19. April in Tilbury die Taufe stattfindet und anschließend die Jungfernfahrt beginnt.
Die AMBIENCE (IMO 8521232) hat bereits jetzt eine bewegte Geschichte hinter sich. 1981 als REGAL PRINCESS für Princess Cruises gebaut, fuhr sie von 2017 bis 2020 als PACIFIC DAWN für P&O Australia. Danach sollte sie eigentlich von CMV übernommen werden, die jedoch in Folge der Pandemie Konkurs anmelden mussten. Die Gesellschaft Ocean Builders erwarb daraufhin das Kreuzfahrtschiff, um es als Community Ship unter dem Namen SATOSHI vor der panamaischen Küste zu betreiben. Die Pläne scheiterten an den Behörden. Die neue gegründete Ambassador Cruise Line erwarb 2021 schließlich das Schiff.
Mit der ehemaligen AIDAmira ex COSTAneoRIVIERA ex GRAND MISTRAL ex MISTRAL ((IMO 9172777) wird Ambassador Cruise Line in Kürze ein zweites Schiff umbauen lassen, um es unter dem Namen AMBITION 2023 in Fahrt zu bringen.

Naming Ceremony on April 19th at Tilbury
The newly founded British cruise company Ambassador Cruise Line can put their first cruise liner into service. The conversion of the AMBIENCE in Croatia was recently completed so that the ship can be transferred to Great Britain, where the christening will take place in Tilbury on April 19th and then the maiden voyage will begin.
The AMBIENCE (IMO 8521232) already has an eventful history behind her. Built in 1981 as the REGAL PRINCESS for Princess Cruises, she sailed from 2017 to 2020 as the PACIFIC DAWN for P&O Australia. After that, she was supposed to be taken over by CMV, which however had to file for bankruptcy as a result of the pandemic. The company Ocean Builders then acquired the cruise ship, in order to operate her as a community ship under the name SATOSHI off the Panamanian coast. The plans failed because of the authorities. The newly founded Ambassador Cruise Line finally acquired the ship in 2021.
With the former AIDAmira ex COSTAneoRIVIERA ex GRAND MISTRAL ex MISTRAL ((IMO 9172777), Ambassador Cruise Line will soon have a second ship converted in order to launch it under the name AMBITION 2023.
