Bereits im Jahr 2022 gelang Disney Cruise Line mit der Nominierung der Taufpaten für die DISNEY WISH eine kleine Überraschung. Taufpaten der DISNEY WISH waren alle „Make a Wish“-Kinder der Welt. Vor diesem Hintergrund durfte man auf die Nominierung der Taufpaten für die DISNEY TREASURE gespannt sein. Taufpaten werden: Besatzung, Crew und alle Mitarbeiter der Walt Disney Company. Nun werden nicht alle zur Tauf-Feier am 19. November in New York kommen können. Stattdessen werden einige ausgewählte Mitarbeiter/innen stellvertretend für die gesamte Disney-Belegschaft die Rolle der Taufpaten übernehmen.

Die DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834753) war auf der Meyer-Werft, Papenburg, gebaut und am 24. Oktober 2024 an Disney Cruise Line abgeliefert worden.

These will be the godparents of the DISNEY TREASURE

Christening on November 19th in New York City

In 2022, Disney Cruise Line managed a small surprise by nominating the godparents for the DISNEY WISH. The godparents of the DISNEY WISH were all the „Make a Wish“ children in the world. Against this background, the nomination of the godparents for the DISNEY TREASURE was something to look forward to. The godparents will be: crew, cast and all employees of the Walt Disney Company. Now not everyone will be able to come to the christening ceremony on November 19th in New York. Instead, a few selected employees will take on the role of godparents on behalf of the entire Disney workforce.

DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834753) was constructed by Meyer Papenburg, Germany, and delivered to Disney Cruise Line on October 24, 2024.

Meyer-Werft liefert DISNEY TREASURE ab

DISNEY TREASURE - Übergabe-Zeremonie in Bremerhaven

Am 24. Oktober wurde im niederländischen Eemshaven die DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834753) an Disney Cruise Line übergeben. Das zweite Schiff der Wish-Klasse ist mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 144.000 vermessen und hat eine Länge von 341 Metern. Sie war in den vergangenen Monaten auf der Meyer-Werft in Papenburg gebaut um am 18. September über die Ems zur Nordsee überführt worden.

Nach der Transatlantik-Überführung soll die DISNEY TREASURE am 21. Dezember in Port Canaveral zu ihrer Jungfernfahrt auslaufen. Die 7-Nächte Kreuzfahrt führt in die östliche Karibik mit Anläufen in Tortola, St. Thomas und auf Castaway Cay.

DISNEY TREASURE Delivered by Meyer Shipyard

On October 24, the DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834753) was handed over to Disney Cruise Line in Eemshaven, the Netherlands. The second Wish class ship has a gross tonnage of 144,000 and is 341 meters long. She was built in the past months by the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, Germany and transferred to the North Sea via the River Ems on September 18.

After the transatlantic transfer, the DISNEY TREASURE is scheduled to set sail on her maiden voyage from Port Canaveral on December 21. The 7-night cruise will go to the eastern Caribbean with calls in Tortola, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay.

DISNEY TREASURE – erste Bilder des zweiten Schiffs der Triton-Klasse

Disney Cruise Line hat am 12. September den Namen ihres zweiten Schiffs der Triton-Klasse bekannt gegeben: DISNEY TREASURE. Der LNG-betriebene Neubau wird auf der Meyer-Werft in Papenburg gebaut und soll 2024 abgeliefert werden. Sie folgt der in diesem Jahr abgelieferten DISNEY WISH.

Die DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834741) soll unter dem Thema „Abenteuer“ stehen.

Die Grand Hall der DISNEY TREASURE soll den Reiz des Abenteuers ausstrahlen und die Gäste einladen, vom ersten Moment an Schätze an Bord zu suchen. Inspiriert von der Pracht und dem Geheimnis eines vergoldeten Palastes, schöpft es aus realen Einflüssen aus Asien und Afrika und ist eine Hommage an das ferne Land Agrabah aus dem Märchenklassiker „Aladdin“ der Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Die charakteristische Statue im Atrium – eine Tradition von Disney Cruise Line – wird eine glänzende, schimmernde, prächtige Darstellung von Aladdin, Jasmine und Magic Carpet sein, die gemeinsam in eine ganz neue Welt voller Abenteuer aufsteigen.

DISNEY TREASURE – first pictures of the second of the Triton class ship

On September 12 Disney Cruise Line announced the name of their second Triton-class ship: DISNEY TREASURE. The new LNG-powered ship will be constructed by the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, and is scheduled for delivery in 2024. She will follow the DISNEY WISH delivered this year.

The DISNEY TREASURE (IMO 9834741) is said to have an „adventure“ theme.

The Grand Hall of DISNEY TREASURE is designed to exude the allure of adventure and invite guests to seek treasure on board from the very first moment. Inspired by the splendor and mystery of a gilded palace, it draws on real-world influences from Asia and Africa and pays homage to the distant land of Agrabah from the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic fairy tale Aladdin.

The signature statue in the atrium – a Disney Cruise Line tradition – will be a lustrous, shimmering, lavish representation of Aladdin, Jasmine and Magic Carpet as they ascend together into a new world of adventure.
