DIV Shipbuilding sichert sich Neubau-Auftrag für Luxus-Liner

MY NJORD_ Illustration_Ocean Residences Development Ltd. (ORD)

Ocean Residences Development Ltd. mit Sitz auf Malta und Wurzeln in Norwegen hat den Auftrag zum Bau eines Residenz-Schiffs vergeben. Den Auftrag erhält DIV Shipbuilding, zu der die Kleven Verft In Norwegen sowie die Brodosplit-Werft in Kroatien gehören. Beide Werften sollen den neuen Luxus-Liner bauen. Es handelt sich bei dem Projekt um ein Residenz-Schiff (ähnlich wie das Schiff THE WORLD). Der Name des Schiffs wird M/Y NJORD sein. Der Luxus-Liner soll 290 Meter lang werden und mit 118 Appartments ausgestattet sein. Ablieferung ist für 2024 vorgesehen.

Bau und Ausstattung

Dabei soll der Rohbau auf der Brodosplit-Werft entstehen und dann nach Norwegen geschleppt werden. Die Kleven-Werft soll schließlich den End-Ausbau vornehmen.

An Bord der M/Y NJORD soll auch ein ozeanographisches und atmosphärisches Labor mit hochwertiger technischer Ausstattung eingerichtet werden. Dazu gehören u.a. Drohnen sowie ein Teleskop. Wissenschaftler und Experten sollen während der Reisen rund um den Globus Daten zu Umwelt-, Meeres- und Luftbedingungen sammeln sowie neue Karten vom Meeresgrund erstellen. Alle gesammelten Daten sollen der Allgemeinheit zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

DIV Shipbuilding secures new order for luxury liner

Ocean Residences Development Ltd., based in Malta and with roots in Norway, has awarded DIV Shipbuilding to build a residence ship. DIV Shipbuilding is consisting of Kleven Verft in Norway and Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia. Both shipyards are to build the new luxury liner. The project is a residence ship (similar to the ship THE WORLD). The name of the ship will be M/Y NJORD. The luxury liner will be 290 meters long and equipped with 118 apartments. Delivery is scheduled for 2024.

Construction and equipment

The hull is to be built at the Brodosplit shipyard and then towed to Norway. The Kleven shipyard should finally carry the technical and inside works.

M/Y NJORD is to be equipped even with an oceanographic and atmospheric laboratory with high-quality technical equipment. These include drones as well as a telescope. Scientists and experts are expected to collect data on environmental, marine and air conditions as well as create new maps of the ocean floor while traveling around the world. All data collected should be made available to the general public.
