Zweites Schiff für Explora Journeys
Am 8. Februar fand auf der Fincantieri-Werft in Sestri Ponente bei Genua die traditionelle Münzzeremonie der EXPLORA II statt. Das zweite Schiff für Explora Journeys, der Luxus-Marke von MSC Cruises, soll ab August 2024 on See stechen.
Die Patinnen des Schiffs Feliciana Maresca, Executive Assistant von Michael Ungerer, sowie Martina Mosca, Supervisor Hull Fabrication bei Fincantieri, legten im Rahmen der Zeremonie Gedenkmünzen als Segen für den Bau und Glücksbringer für die Zukunft in das Schiff. Der Feier wohnten ferner Michael Ungerer, CEO von Explora Journeys, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman Cruise Division MSC Group, sowie Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO bei Fincantieri, bei.
Der Bau der EXPLORA II war am 21. Oktober 2022 auf der Fincantieri-Werft in Castellamare di Stabia bei Neapel begonnen worden. Der Cruise Liner wird eine Vermessung von ca. 63.900 gross tons haben.
EXPLORA II Coin Ceremony
Second ship for Explora Journeys
On February 8th, the traditional coin ceremony of the EXPLORA II took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sestri Ponente near Genoa. The second ship for Explora Journeys, the luxury brand of MSC Cruises, is scheduled to set sail in August 2024.
The godmothers of the ship, Feliciana Maresca, Executive Assistant to Michael Ungerer, and Martina Mosca, Supervisor Hull Fabrication at Fincantieri, placed commemorative coins into the ship as a blessing for the construction and good luck charms for the future as part of the ceremony. The celebration was also attended by Michael Ungerer, CEO of Explora Journeys, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman Cruise Division MSC Group, and Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO at Fincantieri.
Construction of the EXPLORA II began on October 21, 2022 at the Fincantieri shipyard in Castellamare di Stabia near Naples. The cruise liner will have a measurement of approximately 63.900 gross tons.
