BOREALIS at the shipyard in Rotterdam
On October 21, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ BOREALIS (IMO 9122552) arrived at Damen Ship Repair in Rotterdam. Routine work will be carried out during the shipyard stay. In addition, the cruise ship will receive a new outdoor restaurant, the Fresco. Other onboard restaurants will be upgraded. Furthermore, work will be carried out on the lifesaving equipment, and the ship will receive a new hull paint job.
The newly refurbished BOREALIS is scheduled to set sail with passengers again on November 7.
The ship was built in 1996/1997 as ROTTERDAM for Holland America Line by Fincantieri. It is 237.95 meters long and has a gross tonnage of 61,849. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines acquired the ship in 2020.
