Zweites Schiff der Prima-Plus-Klasse

Norwegian Cruise Line hat die NORWEGIAN LUNA (IMO 9824019)von Fincantieri in Marghera übernommen. Sie ist das zweite Schiff der Prima-Plus-Klasse, die die italienische Werft für NCL gebaut hat.

An der Übergabezeremonie nahmen Biagio Mazzotta, Vorsitzender von Fincantieri, und Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager der Fincantieri Merchant Ships Division, teil.

Norwegian Cruise Line und die Muttergesellschaft Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) wurden vertreten durch Marc Kazlauskas, Präsident von NCL; Patrik Dahlgren, Executive Vice President, Chief Vessel Operations and Newbuild Officer von NCLH; und Daniel S. Farkas, Executive Vice President und General Counsel von NCLH.

Ebenso wie ihr 2025 abgeliefertes Schwesterschiff NORWEGIAN AQUA ist die NORWEGIAN LUNA mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 156.000 vermessen; sie ist 321 Meter lang.

Second Prima Plus Class Ship

Norwegian Cruise Line has taken delivery of the NORWEGIAN LUNA (IMO 9824019) from Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy. She is the second ship in the Prima Plus class built by the Italian shipyard for NCL.

The handover ceremony was attended by Biagio Mazzotta, Chairman of Fincantieri, and Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri’s Merchant Ships Division.

Norwegian Cruise Line and its parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH), were represented by Marc Kazlauskas, President of NCL; Patrik Dahlgren, Executive Vice President, Chief Vessel Operations and Newbuild Officer of NCLH; and Daniel S. Farkas, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of NCLH.

Like her sister ship NORWEGIAN AQUA, delivered in 2025, the NORWEGIAN LUNA has a gross tonnage of 156,000; she is 321 meters long.

NORWEGIAN LUNA erreicht nächsten Meilenstein

Am 13. März 2025 hat die Fincantieri-Werft in Marghera die NORWEGIAN AQUA (IMO 9824007) abgeliefert. Sie ist das erste Schiff der Prima-Plus-Klasse für Norwegian Cruise Line. Mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 156.300 und einer Länge von 322 Metern ist sie etwa 10% größer als ihre beiden Vorgängerschiffe NORWEGIAN PRIMA und NORWEGIAN VIVA.

Mit dem Aufschwimmen der NORWEGIAN LUNA (IMO 9824019) am 14. März wurde sogleich der nächste wichtige Meilenstein im Bau des zweiten Schiffs der Prima-Plus-Klasse erreicht.

NORWEGIAN LUNA Reaches Next Milestone

On March 13, 2025, the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, delivered NORWEGIAN AQUA (IMO 9824007). She is the first Prima Plus class ship for Norwegian Cruise Line. With a gross tonnage of 156,300 and a length of 322 meters, she is approximately 10% larger than her two predecessors, NORWEGIAN PRIMA and NORWEGIAN VIVA.

With the floating out of NORWEGIAN LUNA (IMO 9824019) on March 14, the next important milestone in the construction of the second Prima Plus class ship was reached.
