Am 10. Juni 2024 hat die finnische Werft Meyer Turku die MEIN SCHIFF 7 (IMO 9851189) an TUI Cruises übergeben. Die MEIN SCHIFF 7 ist ein Schwesterschiff der MEIN SCHIFF 1 und MEIN SCHIFF 2.

Alle bisherigen Neubauten für TUI Cruises waren bei Meyer Turku erbaut worden: die MEIN SCHIFF 3 bis MEIN SCHIFF 6 sowie die größeren Schiffe MEIN SCHIFF 1 und MEIN SCHIFF 2 und nun auch die MEIN SCHIFF 7. Damit endet diese Serie allerdings auch. Weitere Schiffe hat TUI Cruises bei der Konkurrenz Fincantieri bestellt.

MEIN SCHIFF 7 ist 315,70 Meter lang und mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 112.982 vermessen.

Am 11. Juni hat MEIN SCHIFF 7 in Turku abgelegt und Kurs auf Kiel genommen.

In den nächsten Tagen unternimmt das neue Flaggschiff von TUI Cruises zwei Kurz-Kreuzfahrten, sogenannte Test-Fahrten, die kurzfristig angeboten wurden:

Vom 12. Juni bis 14. Juni: Kiel – Kopenhagen – Kiel

Vom 16. Juni bis 21. Juni: Kiel – Aarhus – Kopenhagen – Oslo – Kiel

Vom 21- Juni bis 24. Juni findet dann die Taufreise der MEIN SCHIFF 7 statt, die in Kiel beginnt und ohne Zwischenhäfen in Kiel endet.

On June 10, 2024, the Finnish shipyard Meyer Turku handed over the MEIN SCHIFF 7 (IMO 9851189) to TUI Cruises. The MEIN SCHIFF 7 is a sister ship of the MEIN SCHIFF 1 and MEIN SCHIFF 2.

All previous newbuilds for TUI Cruises were built by Meyer Turku: the MEIN SCHIFF 3 to MEIN SCHIFF 6 as well as the larger ships MEIN SCHIFF 1 and MEIN SCHIFF 2 and now also the MEIN SCHIFF 7. However, this series also ends there. TUI Cruises has ordered further ships from Meyer’s competitor Fincantieri.

MEIN SCHIFF 7 is 315.70 meters long and has a gross tonnage of 112,982.

On June 11, MEIN SCHIFF 7 left Turku and set course for Kiel, Germany.

In the next few days, TUI Cruises‘ new flagship will undertake two short cruises, so-called test trips, which were offered at short notice:

From June 12th to June 14th: Kiel – Copenhagen – Kiel

From June 16th to June 21st: Kiel – Aarhus – Copenhagen – Oslo – Kiel

From June 21st to June 24th, the christening voyage of the MEIN SCHIFF 7 will take place, which begins in Kiel and ends in Kiel without any intermediate ports.

Taufpatin und Taufreise

Die MEIN SCHIFF 7, derzeit in Bau bei Meyer Turku in Finnland, nähert sich ihrer Fertigstellung. Jetzt gaben TUI Cruises Details zu Taufe ihres neuesten Schiffs bekannt. Die Taufe wird am 22. Juni in der Kieler Bucht stattfinden. Taufpatin wird Fenia Kalachani, Umwelt-Offizierin der Mein-Schiff-Flotte.

Die Taufreise findet vom 21. Juni bis 23. Juni statt. Sie startet in Kiel, führt in die dänische Südsee und endet wieder in Kiel. MEIN SCHIFF 7 wird damit im Rahmen der Kieler Woche in den Hafen einlaufen.

Während der Taufreise werden die Passagiere die Gelegenheit haben, die vielen neuen Highlights der MEIN SCHIFF 7 zu entdecken. Ferner kündigen TUI Cruises für diese Reise ein spektakuläres Programm mit einer neuen Entertainment-Show, herausragenden Künstlerinnen und Künstlern sowie vielen kulinarischen und musikalischen Überraschungen an.

The Christening of MY SHIP 7 (MEIN SCHIFF 7)

The MEIN SCHIFF 7, currently under construction by Meyer Turku in Finland, is nearing completion. TUI Cruises now announced details about the christening of their newest ship. The christening will take place on June 22nd in the Bay of Kiel. Fenia Kalachani, environmental officer in the TUI Cruises fleet, will be the godmother.

The christening voyage will take place from June 21st to June 23rd. It starts in Kiel, Germany, leads to the Danish South Seas and ends again in Kiel. MEIN SCHIFF 7 will enter the harbor as part of the Kiel Week, a famous harbor event.

During the christening voyage, passengers will have the opportunity to discover the many new highlights of MEIN SCHIFF 7. TUI Cruises are even announcing a spectacular program for this trip with a new entertainment show, outstanding artists and many culinary and musical surprises.

Zweiter Kreuzfahrtschiffs-Neubau innerhalb einer Woche für TUI Cruises zu Wasser gelassen

Bei TUI Cruises geht es Schlag auf Schlag: Nach dem ersten Aufschwimmen der MEIN SCHIFF RELAX (IMO 9862657) am 28. November im italienischen Monfalcone ist am 1. Dezember bei Meyer Turku die MEIN SCHIFF 7 (IMO 9851189) erstmals aufgeschwommen. MEIN SCHIFF 7 wird ein Schwesterschiff der MEIN SCHIFF 1 und MEIN SCHIFF 2. Über Das Aufschwimmen der MEIN SCHIFF 7 im winterlichen Turku freuten sich gemeinsam Tim Meyer, CEO von Meyer Turku, und Wybcke Meier, CEO von TUI Cruises.

Mit dem Aufschwimmen wurde ein Meilenstein in der Bauphase erreicht. Es folgt nun die End-Ausrüstung des Schiffs, das bis 2024 fertiggestellt werden soll

MEIN SCHIFF 7 wird 315,70 Meter lang und mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 111.500 vermessen. Sie wird Platz für 2.894 Passagiere in 1.461 Kabinen haben. 80% der Kabinen werden Balkonkabinen.

Second new cruise ship launched for TUI Cruises within a week

Things are happening in quick succession at TUI Cruises: After the floating out of the MEIN SCHIFF RELAX (IMO 9862657) on November 28th in Monfalcone, Italy, the MEIN SCHIFF 7 (IMO 9851189) was floated out at Meyer Turku on December 1st. MEIN SCHIFF 7 will be a sister ship to MEIN SCHIFF 1 and MEIN SCHIFF 2. Tim Meyer, CEO of Meyer Turku, and Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, were happy about the event in wintery Turku.

With the floating out, a milestone in the construction phase was reached. The final equipment of the ship now follows, the ship is scheduled to be completed by 2024

MEIN SCHIFF 7 will be 315.70 meters long and measured with a gross tonnage of 111,500. She will have space for 2,894 passengers in 1,461 cabins. 80% of the cabins will be balcony cabins.
