TUI Cruises and the Fincantieri shipyard celebrated the achievement of a significant milestone for MEIN SCHIFF FLOW on May 30th. The sister ship of the recently commissioned MEIN SCHIFF RELAX was successfully floated out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. After the valves were opened, approximately 130 million liters of water flowed into the dry dock.

The ceremony was traditionally accompanied by prayers and holy water, as well as the smashing of a Prosecco bottle against the ship’s hull by shipyard patron Anna Russo to wish the ship and its future passengers luck.

Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises, and Cristiano Bazzara, Director of the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, celebrated this emotional moment together. MEIN SCHIFF FLOW (IMO 9862669) is scheduled to embark on its first voyage with passengers in summer 2026.

TUI Cruises und die Bauwerft Fincantieri feierten am 30. Mai das Erreichen eines bedeutenden Meilensteins für die MEIN SCHIFF FLOW, dem zweiten Schiff der InTUItion-Klasse. Das Schwesterschiff der kürzlich in Dienst gestellten MEIN SCHIFF RELAX schwamm in der Fincantieri Werft in Monfalcone, Italien, erfolgreich auf. Nach dem Öffnen der Ventile strömten dazu rund 130 Millionen Liter Wasser in das Trockendock.

Die Zeremonie wurde traditionsgemäß mit Gebeten und Weihwasser sowie dem Zerschellen einer Prosecco-Flasche am Rumpf des Schiffes durch Werft-Patin Anna Russo begleitet, um dem Schiff und seinen zukünftigen Passagieren Glück zu wünschen.

Wybcke Meier, CEO von TUI Cruises, und Cristiano Bazzara, Direktor der Fincantieri Werft in Monfalcone, feierten gemeinsam diesen emotionalen Moment. Die MEIN SCHIFF FLOW (IMO 9862669) soll im Sommer 2026 ihre erste Fahrt mit Passagieren antreten.
