Die STAR OF THE SEAS (IMO 9829942) ist das zweite Schiff der Icon-Klasse von Royal Caribbean International. Sie wurde von 2023 bis 2025 bei Meyer Turku gebaut. Bei einer Länge von 364,83 Metern ist sie mit 248.663 gross tons vermessen. Sie bietet Platz für maximal 7.600 Passagiere.

An astronaut is godmother for the “Space Ship”

The world’s largest cruise ship will be christened today, August 20, 2025: the STAR OF THE SEAS. The ceremony will take place in Port Canaveral. Godmother is Kellie Gerardi, astronaut, explorer, and influencer. She is also a children’s book author.

The STAR OF THE SEAS (IMO 9829942) is the second ship in Royal Caribbean International’s Icon class. She was built by Meyer Turku from 2023 to 2025. With a length of 364.83 meters, she weighs 248,663 gross tons. She can accommodate a maximum of 7,600 passengers.
