Übersicht über die abgelieferten Cruise Liner im Jahr 2020

Auch 2020 wurden trotz der weltweiten Corona-Pandemie und der daraus resultierenden Verzögerungen diverse neue Kreuzfahrtschiffe abgeliefert. Jedoch konnte bisher noch keines dieser neuen Schiffe seinen Dienst aufnehmen – mit Ausnahme von LE JACQUES CARTIER. Hier eine Übersicht über die 2020 abgelieferten Cruise Liner.

Delivered cruise ships 2020

In 2020, despite the global corona pandemic and the resulting delays, various new cruise ships were delivered. However, so far none of these new ships has been able to enter service – with the exception of LE JACQUES CARTIER. Here is an overview of the cruise liners delivered in 2020.

Die französische Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Ponant hat kürzlich mit LE JACQUES CARTIER ihr sechstes Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff der Explorer-Klasse übernommen. Wir berichteten. Der kleine Luxus-Liner für maximal 184 Passagiere ist mittlerweile in französischen Gewässern angekommen und kreuzt derzeit um die Bretagne. Zwei neue Fotos, zur Verfügung gestellt von Ponant, möchten wir Euch nicht vorenthalten.

Update: New photos from cruise liner LE JACQUES CARTIER

The French cruise line Ponant recently took over LE JACQUES CARTIER, their sixth Explorer class expedition cruise ship. We reported. The small luxury liner for a maximum of 184 passengers has now arrived in French waters and is currently cruising around Brittany. These two fresh photos have been provided by Ponant.

Sechstes Schiff der Explorer-Klasse für Ponant

Die norwegische VARD-Werft hat das sechste Schiff der Explorer-Klasse, LE JACQUES CARTIER, an die französische Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Ponant übergeben. Das in Rumänien und Norwegen gebaut Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff ist ebenso wie seine Schwesterschiffe für 184 Passagiere in 92 Kabinen ausgelegt. Die Schwesterschiffe der LE JACQUES CARTIER sind: LE LAPEROUSE (IMO 9814026), LE CHAMPLAIN (IMO 9814038), LE BOUGAINVILLE (IMO 9814040), LE DUMONT D’URVILLE (IMO 9814052), LE BELLOT (IMO 9852418).

Obwohl das Sextett nun komplett ist, sind noch zwei weitere Schiffe bestellt, die eine Weiterentwicklung der Explorer-Klasse darstellen werden. Diese Schiffe werden für die Tochter-Gesellschaft Paul Gauguin Cruises gebaut.

LE JACQUES CARTIER befindet sich derzeit auf der Reise von Norwegen ins französische Saint Malo.

Sixth Explorer-class ship for Ponant

The Norwegian VARD shipyard handed over the sixth Explorer-class ship, LE JACQUES CARTIER, to the French cruise line Ponant. The expedition cruise ship built in Romania and Norway, like her sister ships, is designed for 184 passengers in 92 cabins. The sister ships of LE JACQUES CARTIER are: LE LAPEROUSE (IMO 9814026), LE CHAMPLAIN (IMO 9814038), LE BOUGAINVILLE (IMO 9814040), LE DUMONT D’URVILLE (IMO 9814052), LE BELLOT (IMO 9852418).

Although the sextet is now complete, two more ships based on the Explorer class have been ordered. These ships are built for Ponant’s subsidiary Paul Gauguin Cruises.

LE JACQUES CARTIER is currently on her voyage from Norway to Saint Malo in France.

Weiteres Highlight: erste Reisen für LE JACQUES CARTIER

Nach SeaDream Yacht Club (wir berichteten) will nun auch die französische Luxus-Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Ponant mit Kreuzfahrten in heimischen Gewässern durchstarten.

Die Wieder-Aufnahme von Kreuzfahrten ist dabei bereits für Anfang Juli vorgesehen. Ponant bietet diesen Sommer immer siebentägige Kreuzfahrten auf 5 verschiedenen Routen an:

LE DUMONT D’URVILLE

Kreuzfahrten ab Le Havre inklusive Landschaftsfahrt auf der Seine. Zu den weiteren Highlights gehören das sehenswerte Städtchen Etretat an der französischen Kanal-Küste sowie Zodiac-Touren.

LE BOUGAINVILLE

Kreuzfahrten ab Bordeaux in der Biskaya. Es werden kleine Häfen angelaufen, darunter die Inseln Ile de Ré, Ile d’Aix sowie das Inselchen Hoedic. Ein Abstecher an die spanische Nordküste soll ebenfalls zum Programm gehören.

L’AUSTRAL

Unternimmt Reisen ab Marseille.

LE LYRIAL

Wird für Kreuzfahrten ab Nizza eingesetzt.

Kreuzfahrten ab Saint Malo.

Das Besondere an diesen Kreuzfahrten: Es werden die ersten Reisen dieses Schiffs sein. LE JACQUES CARTIER ist das sechste Schiff der Explorer-Klasse und derzeit noch nicht in Dienst gestellt.

Das genannte Kreuzfahrt-Programm gilt bis September / Oktober dieses Jahres.

Cruises close to home: Ponant’s re-start this summer!

Another highlight: first trips for LE JACQUES CARTIER

After SeaDream Yacht Club (we reported) also the French luxury cruise company Ponant now wants to start cruising in local waters.

The resumption of cruises is planned for early July. Ponant will offer seven-day cruises on 5 different routes this summer:

LE DUMONT D’URVILLE

Cruises from Le Havre including scenic tours on the Seine river. Other highlights include the lovely town of Etretat on the French Channel coast as well as Zodiac tours.

LE BOUGAINVILLE

Cruises from Bordeaux in Biscay. Small ports are visited, including the islands of Ile de Ré, Ile d’Aix and the islet of Hoedic. A trip to the Spanish north coast should also be part of the program.

L’AUSTRAL

Voyages starting at Marseille.

LE LYRIAL

Will be cruising from Nice. On the French Riviera.

LE JACQUES CARTIER

Cruises from Saint Malo.

The special thing about these cruises: They will be the first voyages of this ship. LE JACQUES CARTIER is the sixth Explorer-class ship and has not yet even entered service.

The cruise program mentioned is valid until September / October this year.

Namensänderung bei Ponant: LE JACQUES CARTIER

LE JACQUES CARTIER – sechstes Schiff der Explorer-Klasse

Während Ponant, die französische Gesellschaft für Luxus-Kreuzfahrten, gerade ihren dritten Neubau der Explorer-Klasse, LE BOUGAINVILLE (IMO 9814040) von der norwegischen Vard-Werft übernommen haben, hat die Gesellschaft auch noch eine Änderung in der Namensgebung ihrer Schiffe vorgenommen. So wird das sechste Schiff der Explorer-Klasse nicht wie geplant LE SURVILLE heißen, sondern LE JACQUES CARTIER (IMO 9852420). Der Name reiht sich ein in die Serie berühmter französischer Seefahrer und Entdecker. Ein solcher war auch Jacques Cartier, geboren am 31. Dezember 1491 in Rothéneuf bei Saint Malo und am 1. September 1557 auch dort gestorben.

Ablieferung der LE JACQUES CARTIER ist übrigens für Sommer 2020 vorgesehen.

LE BOUGAINVILLE befindet sich, wie gestern berichtet, bereits seit 8. April auf der Fahrt von Norwegen nach Malaga in Spanien, wo am 15. April die Jungfernfahrt beginnen soll.
