Neue Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft etabliert sich

Mit der CFC Compagnie Française de Croisières formiert sich eine neue französische Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft. Diese hat nun die AEGEAN MYTH (IMO 8919257) von Seajets erworben und in RENAISSANCE umbenannt. Bei dem Schiff handelt es sich um die ehemalige MAASDAM der Holland America Line, gebaut 1993 bei Fincantieri in Monfalcone, 219,21 Meter lang und mit 55.575 gross tons vermessen. Holland America Line hatte das Schiff der Statendam-Klasse 2020 während der Corona-Pandemie an die griechische Gesellschaft Seajets verkauft, die es in AEGEAN MYTH umbenannt, aber selbst nie zum Einsatz gebracht hatte.

Gründer der CFC Compagnie Française de Croisières mit Sitz in Marseille sind Clément Mousset, ehemaliger Direktor von CMV France, sowie Cédric Rivoire Perrochat, ehemaliger Direktor für Marketing, Kommunikation und Operations bei CMV France. Näheres wollen die Gründer Anfang September bekanntgeben.

AEGEAN MYTH ex MAASDAM sold to France

New cruise line established

A new French cruise company is formed with the CFC Compagnie Française de Croisières. This new company just acquired the AEGEAN MYTH (IMO 8919257) from Seajets and renamed her RENAISSANCE. The ship is the former MAASDAM of the Holland America Line, built in 1993 by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, 219.21 meters long and measured at 55,575 gross tons. Holland America Line had sold the Statendam-class ship to the Greek company Seajets in 2020 during the corona pandemic, which renamed her AEGEAN MYTH but never made use of her.

The founders of CFC Compagnie Française de Croisières, based in Marseille, are Clément Mousset, former Director of CMV France, and Cédric Rivoire Perrochat, former Director of Marketing, Communications and Operations at CMV France. The founders want to announce more details at the beginning of September.

Ausverkauf bei Carnival – Ein Überblick

Während die zum Carnival-Konzern gehörenden Gesellschaften Costa Crociere und AIDA Cruises in Europa einen vorsichtigen Neustart wagen, setzt der Konzern den Verkauf älterer Einheiten fort.

Insgesamt 18 Kreuzfahrtschiffe will Carnival bis Ende des Jahres verkauft haben.

Sale at Carnival – An overview

While the cruise companies Costa Crociere and AIDA Cruises, which belong to the Carnival group, are daring a cautious restart in Europe, the group is continuing to sell older units.

Carnival is aiming to have sold a total of 18 cruise ships by the end of the year.

2 Schiffe an Fred. Olsen

Die zum Carnival-Konzern gehörende Holland America Line verkauft vier Schiffe ihrer Flotte.

Das sind die MAASDAM (IMO 8919257) und VEENDAM (IMO 9102992), beides Schiffe der Statendam-Klasse, gebaut 1993 bzw. 1996. Beide Schiffe von etwa 219 Metern Länge sollen bereits im August dieses Jahres transferiert werden. Wer der Käufer ist, wurde derzeit noch nicht bekanntgegeben.

Des weiteren trennt sich Holland America Line von der AMSTERDAM (IMO 9188037) und der ROTTERDAM (IMO 9122552), beides Schiffe der Rotterdam-Klasse. Die beiden Kreuzfahrtschiffe, gebaut 2000 bzw. 1997, beide knapp 238 Meter lang, wurden an Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines verkauft. Die Übergabe erfolgt im September 2020. Fred. Olsen nimmt damit eine Flotten-Verjüngung vor. Die neuen Namen der Schiffe werden BOLETTE und BOREALIS sein.

Holland America Line selling 4 ships

2 ships to Fred. Olsen

Holland America Line belonging to the Carnival group, are selling four of their ships.

These are the MAASDAM (IMO 8919257) and VEENDAM (IMO 9102992), both ships of the Statendam class, built in 1993 and 1996 respectively. Both ships of about 219 meters in length are to be transferred in August of this year. It has not yet been announced who the buyer is.

Furthermore, Holland America Line sold the AMSTERDAM (IMO 9188037) and ROTTERDAM (IMO 9122552), both ships of the Rotterdam class. The two cruise ships, built in 2000 and 1997, both almost 238 meters long, were sold to Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. The handover will take place in September 2020. Fred. Olsen is thus rejuvenating the fleet. The new names for the ships will be BOLETTE and BOREALIS.
