Am 12. Mai wurde die MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA PARADISE im Rahmen einer Ein-Tages Mini Cruise für geladende Gäste ab Palm Beach getauft.
Zur traditionellenTauf-Zeremonie gab es ein überraschendes Live-Konzert mit dem Sänger, Songwriter und Bestsellerautor Jimmy Buffett. Die Taufzeremonie für Margaritaville at Sea Paradise fand im Stars on the Water Theater statt. Taufpate war der American Football Spieler und Gewinner des NFL Game Changer Award, Shaquem Griffin. Gesegnet wurde das Kreuzfahrtschiff von Pastorin Christine Bandy-Helderman, bevor eine große Sail Away Party an Bord begann, zu der auch eine überraschende einstündige Live-Performance von Jimmy Buffett gehörte. Gespielt wurden Songs wie „Margaritaville“ und „Cheeseburger in Paradise“
Später nahmen die Gäste an einer exklusiven Vorschau auf „Tales from Margaritaville: Jimmy’s Ship Show“ teil, geschrieben und produziert von Jimmy Buffett und Produzent Frank Marshall. Die Nacht endete mit Spielen, Salsa-Tanzstunden, einer Tropical-Glow-Party und einer karibischen Pool-Deck-Soiree unter den Sternen.
Am 14. Mai stach die Margaritaville at Sea Paradise zu ihrer ersten Reise mit zahlenden Passagieren in See: eine Zwei-Nächte Cruise von Palm Beach zur Grand Bahama Island und zurück.
Das Kreuzfahrtschiff war 1991 bei Fincantieri in Monfalcone als COSTA CLASSICA (IMO 8716502) gebaut worden. Es ist 220,61 Meter lang und mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 52.926 vermessen.
Cruise ship MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA PARADISE christened during extraordinary ceremony
On May 12, the MARGARITAVILLE AT SEA PARADISE was christened during a one-day mini cruise for invited guests starting at Palm Beach.
The traditional christening ceremony was accompanied by a surprising live concert with the singer, songwriter and best-selling author Jimmy Buffett. The naming ceremony for Margaritaville at Sea Paradise was held at the Stars on the Water Theater. Godfather was American football player and NFL Game Changer Award winner Shaquem Griffin. The cruise ship was blessed by Pastor Christine Bandy-Helderman before a grand Sail Away Party began on board, which included a surprise hour-long live performance by Jimmy Buffett. Songs like „Margaritaville“ and „Cheeseburger in Paradise“ were played. Later, guests attended an exclusive preview of Tales from Margaritaville: Jimmy’s Ship Show, written and produced by Jimmy Buffett and producer Frank Marshall. The night ended with games, salsa dancing lessons, a tropical glow party and a Caribbean pool deck soiree under the stars.
On May 14, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise set sail on her first fare-paying voyage: a two-night cruise from Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island and back.
