Am Abend des 7. Dezember 2022 wurde die MSC SEASCAPE am Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City getauft. Taufpatin war wieder die berühmte Schauspielerin Sophia Loren, die per Video zugeschaltet war und dem Schiff virtuell ihren Segen gab. Alexa Aponte-Vago, Tochter des MSC-Gründers Gianluigi Aponte durchschnitt vor Ort traditionsgemäß das Band, um die MSC SEASCAPE offiziell zu taufen.

Nach der Tauf-Zeremonie gab es für die geladenen Gäste ein Gala-Dinner, gefolgt von einem Auftritt von Ne-Yo, Grammy Award-Gewinner, Sänger und Songwriter.

Die MSC SEACAPE ist das 21. Kreuzfahrtschiff der MSC-Flotte.

MSC SEASCAPE christened in New York City

On the evening of December 7, 2022, the MSC SEASCAPE was christened at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City. Godmother was again the famous actress Sophia Loren, who was connected via video and virtually gave her blessing to the ship. Alexa Aponte-Vago, daughter of MSC founder Gianluigi Aponte, traditionally cut the ribbon on site to officially christen MSC SEASCAPE.

Following the naming ceremony, a gala dinner was held for the invited guests, followed by a performance by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.

The MSC SEACAPE is the 21st cruise ship in the MSC fleet.

Zweites Schiff der Seaside-Evo-Klasse

Am 16. November haben MSC Cruises mit der MSC SEASCAPE (IMO 9843807) ihr zweites Kreuzfahrtschiff der Seaside-Evo-Klasse übernommen. Damit werden MSC Cruises nach der MSC WORLD EUROPA (IMO 9837420) in diesem Jahr bereits ihr zweites Kreuzfahrtschiff in Dienst stellen und ihre Flotte auf 21 Schiffe ausbauen. Laut MSC Cruises handelt es sich bei der MSC SEASCAPE um das größte je in Italien gebaute Kreuzfahrtschiff.

Mit den Schiffen der Seaside-Klasse möchte MSC die Passagiere wieder näher ans Wasser bringen. Dafür haben die Schiffe dieser Klasse einen großen Waterfront-Promenaden-Bereich. Insgesamt stehen 13.000 Quadratmeter Außenfläche zur Verfügung.

Nach der Überführungsreise an die amerikanische Ostküste soll die MSC SEASCAPE am 7. Dezember in New York getauft werden. Anschließend wird sie für 7-Nächte-Kreuzfahrten in die westliche sowie in die östliche Karibik eingesetzt. Basis-Hafen wird dabei Miami werden.

Second Seaside Evo Class Cruise Ship

On November 16, MSC Cruises took delivery of their second Seaside Evo class cruise ship, MSC SEASCAPE (IMO 9843807). This means that MSC Cruises will put their second cruise ship into service this year after MSC WORLD EUROPA (IMO 9837420), and expand their fleet to 21 ships. According to MSC Cruises, the MSC SEASCAPE is the largest cruise ship ever built in Italy.

With the ships of the Seaside class, MSC wants to bring passengers closer to the water again. For that purpose the ships of this class have a large waterfront promenade. A total of 13,000 square meters of outdoor space are available.

After the transfer voyage to the US east coast, the MSC SEASCAPE is to be christened in New York on December 7th. She will then be used for 7-night cruises to the western and eastern Caribbean. The base port will be Miami.

Feierliche Schiffstaufe am Big Apple

Die MSC SEASCAPE, derzeit in Bau befindliches zweites Kreuzfahrtschiff der Seaside EVO-Klasse, wird am 7. Dezember 2022 in New York am Manhattan Cruise Terminal getauft werden. Auch diesmal wird Schauspielerin und Oskar-Preisträgerin Sophia Loren die Taufpatin sein. Es wird dann bereits ihre 18. Taufe eines MSC-Kreuzfahrtschiffs.

Unmittelbar nach der Taufe soll die MSC SEASCAPE nach Miami aufbrechen, ihrem Basishafen für ihre erste Saison. Es werden jeweils siebentägige Kreuzfahrten in die westliche und östliche Karibik angeboten,

Auf MSC SEASCAPE wird es 2.270 Passagierkabinen geben, 11 Restaurants, 19 Bars und Lounges, darüber hinaus sechs Swimmingpools, darunter ein Infinity Pool. Eine 540 Meter lange Promenade ermöglicht einen Open-Air-Spaziergang rund um das Schiff.

MSC SEASCAPE, the second Seaside EVO-class cruise ship currently under construction, will be christened on December 7, 2022 in New York at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Once again, actress and Oscar winner Sophia Loren will be the godmother. It will be her 18th christening of an MSC cruise ship.

Immediately after the naming ceremony, MSC SEASCAPE is scheduled to depart for Miami, her base port for her first season. seven-day cruises each to the western and eastern Caribbean will be offered.

Erstes Schiff der Seaside Evo-Klasse wurde übergeben

MSC Cruises haben ihr neues Flaggschiff, die MSC SEASHORE, übernommen. Die Übergabe fand auf der Fincantieri-Werft in Monfalcone statt. Das für bis zu 4.560 Passagiere ist sowohl das größte der Flotte der MSC Cruises als auch das größte je in Italien gebaute Passagierschiff. Die MSC SEASHORE ist das erste der Seaside-Evo-Klasse und das 19. Kreuzfahrtschiff von MSC Cruises.

Mit der MSC SEASCAPE ist bereits ein weiteres Schiff dieser Klasse in Bau.

MSC Cruises have taken over their new flagship, the MSC SEASHORE. The handover took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone. The up to 4,560 passenger ship is both the largest in the MSC Cruises fleet and the largest passenger ship ever built in Italy. The MSC SEASHORE is the first Seaside Evo class ship and the 19th cruise ship in the MSC Cruises fleet.

With the MSC SEASCAPE, another ship of this class is already under construction with delivery scheduled for November 2022.

Am 2. Juni 2021 fand auf der Fincantieri-Werft in Monfalcone die Münz-Zeremonie zum Baustart für die MSC SEASCAPE, dem zweiten Schiff der Seaside EVO-Klasse, statt.

Das Kreuzfahrtschiff mit Platz für bis zu 5.877 Passagieren soll im November 2022 abgeliefert werden.

Zu den Attraktionen an Bord werden gehören:

11 Restaurants, 19 Bars und Lounges, 6 Swimmingpools inklusive 1 Infinity-Pool am Heck, eine 540 Meter lange Waterfront Promenade sowie der größte MSC Yacht-Club der gesamten MSC-Flotte.

On June 2, 2021, the coin ceremony for the construction start for MSC SEASCAPE, the second Seaside EVO class ship, took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone.

The cruise ship with space for up to 5,877 passengers is scheduled for delivery in November 2022.

11 restaurants, 19 bars and lounges, 6 swimming pools including 1 infinity pool at the stern, a 540 meter long waterfront promenade and the largest MSC Yacht Club in the entire MSC fleet.
