Innovatives Kreuzfahrtschiff für Lindblad Expeditions

Am 30. September hat die Kreuzfahrtgesellschaft Lindblad Expeditions ihren zweiten Neubau von der norwegischen Ulstein Verft übernommen. Die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) besticht durch ihren auffälligen X-Bow, eine ebenso treibstoffsparende wie Rollbewegungen vermindernde Bugform.

Das für 126 Passagiere ausgelegte Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff ist ein Schwesterschiff der bereits 2020 fertiggestellten NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), die zwar am 22. Juli 2021 feierlich in Reykjavik getauft wurde, aber ihren Dienst auf Grund der Pandemie bisher noch nicht aufgenommen hat.

On September 30th, the cruise line Lindblad Expeditions took over their second newbuild from the Norwegian Ulstein Verft. The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) impresses with her eye-catching X-Bow, a bow shape that is as fuel-efficient as it is reducing rolling movements. The expedition cruise ship, designed for 126 passengers, is a sister ship to the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), which was completed in 2020 and was ceremonially christened in Reykjavik on July 22, 2021, but has not yet commenced service due to the pandemic.

Innovatives X-Bow-Kreuzfahrtschiff auf dem Endspurt zur Fertigstellung

Am 8. Juni 2021 wurde auf der norwegischen Ulstein-Werft die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) ausgedockt. Der neue Cruise Liner fällt schon äußerlich durch seinen innovativen und treibstoff-sparenden X-Bow auf. Das Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff, das für Lindblad Expeditons gebaut wird, ist für 126 Passagiere in 69 Außenkabinen ausgelegt. Fast alle Kabinen sind mit Balkons ausgestattet. Mit Eisklasse PC5 ist das Schiff bestens für Kreuzfahrten in die Polar-Regionen geeignet.

Die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION soll im 4. Quartal 2021 an Lindblad Expeditions abgeliefert werden. Sie ist ein Schwesterschiff der 2020 fertig gestellten NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), die seither wegen der Corona-Pandemie im norwegischen Ulsteinvik bzw. in Skagen und in Odense aufgelegt wurde.

Innovative X-Bow cruise ship nearing completion

On June 8, 2021, the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) was docked out at the Norwegian Ulstein shipyard. The new Cruise Liner’s most outstanding feature is the innovative and fuel-saving X-Bow. The expedition cruise ship, which is under construction for Lindblad Expeditons, is designed for 126 passengers in 69 outside cabins. Almost all cabins are equipped with balconies. With polar class PC5, the ship is ideally suited for cruises into the polar regions.

The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION is scheduled to be delivered to Lindblad Expeditions in the 4th quarter of 2021. She is a sister ship of the 2020 completed NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), which has since been laid up due to the corona pandemic in Ulsteinvik, Norway, resp. in Skagen and Odense.

Zweiter Neubau für Lindblad Expeditions kommt voran

Die Ulstein Verft in Norwegen hat mit dem End-Ausbau der NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION für Lindblad Expeditions begonnen. Der komplette Rumpf war zuvor auf der Crist-Werft in Polen gebaut worden. Er ist jetzt im Schlepp auf der Ulstein-Werft eingetroffen, wo der gesamt Innenausbau, die elektrische Installation sowie die Hotel-Ausstattung vorgenommen wird.

Die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION ist ein Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff mit patentiertem X-Bow. Sie wird ein Schwesterschiff der in diesem Jahr fertig gestellten NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554). Diese liegt immer noch an der Ulstein-Werft und konnte seit ihrer Fertigstellung ihren Betrieb auf Grund der Pandemie bisher nicht aufnehmen.

Die Ablieferung der NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION ist für Anfang 2021 vorgesehen.

Expedition cruise ship for final outfitting in Norway

Second new building for Lindblad Expeditions is making progress

Ulstein Verft in Norway has started the final outfitting of the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION for Lindblad Expeditions. The entire hull had previously been built at the Crist shipyard in Poland. It has now arrived in tow at the Ulstein shipyard, where the entire interior work, the electrical installation and the hotel equipment are being carried out.

The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION is an expedition cruise ship with a patented X-Bow. She will be a sister ship to the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554) , which was completed this year. She is still moored at the Ulstein shipyard and has not been able to start operations since she was completed due to the pandemic.

The delivery of the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION is planned for the beginning of 2021.
