Wie berichtet verkauften Seabourn Cruise Lines ihre 2009 gebaute SEABOURN ODYSSEY im März dieses Jahres an die japanischen Mitsui O.S.K. Lines. Nun gab Mitsui den neuen Namen des Schiffs bekannt: MITSUI OCEAN FUJI. Der Cruise Liner wird ab Dezember 2024 unter der neu gegründeten Marke Mitsui Ocean Cruises fahren.

Bis August 2024 wird Seabourn den Cruise Liner zunächst zurück-chartern.

Die SEABOURN ODYSSEY (IMO 9417086) wurde ab 2007 auf der Cimolai-Werft (CIMAR) in San Giorgio di Nogaro und auf der T. Mariotti-Werft in Genua gebaut und 2009 fertig gestellt. Das 198,19 Meter lange Kreuzfahrtschiff ist mit einer Bruttoraumzahl von 32.346 vermessen und für 450 Passagiere ausgelegt.

Update: SEABOURN ODYSSEY to become MITSUI OCEAN FUJI

As reported, Seabourn Cruise Lines sold their 2009-built SEABOURN ODYSSEY to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Japan, in March of this year. Mitsui has now announced the new name of the ship: MITSUI OCEAN FUJI. The cruise liner will sail under the newly founded Mitsui Ocean Cruises brand from December 2024.

Seabourn will initially charter the cruise liner back until August 2024.

The SEABOURN ODYSSEY (IMO 9417086) was built from 2007 by the Cimolai shipyard (CIMAR) in San Giorgio di Nogaro and completed by the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa in 2009. The 198.19 meter long cruise ship has a gross tonnage of 32,346 and is designed for 450 passengers.

Seabourn Cruise Lines, part of the Carnival Group, are selling their 2009 built SEABOURN ODYSSEY to the Japanese Mitsui O.S.K. lines. Seabourn will charter the cruise liner back until August 2024, in order to carry out the voyages planned until then.

After handing over the ship in September 2014, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will operate with two cruise ships in the future. They currently operate the NIPPON MARU (IMO 8817631).

Bei Carnival wird eine große Aktion vorbereitet, Crew-Mitglieder, die sich noch auf Kreuzfahrtschiffen befinden, per Schiff nach Hause zu bringen.

Die Anzeichen mehren sich, dass das Pausieren der Schiffe wegen der Corona-Pandemie noch länger andauern wird und sich noch über Monate hinziehen kann. Daher werden viele Besatzungsmitglieder nun per Schiff nach Hause gebracht, denn die meisten Flug-Verbindungen sind bekanntlich gekappt.

Dies sind die geplanten Überfahrten:

REGAL PRINCESS (liegt derzeit vor der Küste Floridas):

Nach Southampton und Rotterdam, um europäische Crew-Mitglieder nach Hause zu bringen.

CROWN PRINCESS (liegt derzeit vor der Küste Floridas):

Richtung Asien, um Crew-Mitglieder von den Philippinen, aus Indonesien, aber auch aus Südafrika zurückzubringen.

ISLAND PRINCESS (liegt derzeit auf Great Isaac Anchorage)

Crew repatriation action by Carnival

A major repatriation action is currently prepared at Carnival to bring crew members who are still on cruise ships home by ship.

There are increasing signs that the pausing of the ships will continue for longer due to the corona pandemic and can drag on for months. Therefore, many crew members are now going to be repatriated by ship, since most flight connections are known to be cut.

These are the planned crossings:
