Die Schweizer Reederei Scylla Shipping AG hat sich vom Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff SEAVENTURE (IMO 8907424) getrennt. Käufer ist die chinesische Gesellschaft 66º Expedition Cruise, ein Joint Venture mehrerer in Guangdong, China, ansässiger Tourismus- und Schifffahrtsfirmen.

Das Schiff wird mit Platz für 150 Passagiere auch zukünftig arktische Gewässer bereisen. 66º Expedition Cruise fokussiert sich auf chinesische und internationale Gäste.

Bei dem Schiff handelt es sich um die ehemalige, 1990 bei Mitsui Heavy Industries im japanischen Kobe gebaute FRONTIER SPIRIT, die von 1993 bis 2020 für Hapag-Lloyd Cruises unter dem Namen BREMEN fuhr. Als neuer Name des Schiffs wird POSEIDON genannt.

SEAVENTURE (ex BREMEN) sold to China

The Swiss shipping company Scylla Shipping AG has sold the expedition cruise ship SEAVENTURE (IMO 8907424). The buyer is the Chinese company 66º Expedition Cruise, a joint venture of several tourism and shipping companies based in Guangdong, China.

The ship, with a capacity of 150 passengers, will continue to travel Arctic waters in the future. 66º Expedition Cruise is focusing on Chinese and international guests.

The ship is the former FRONTIER SPIRIT, built in 1990 by Mitsui Heavy Industries in Kobe, Japan, which sailed for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises under the name BREMEN from 1993 to 2020. The new name of the ship is said to be POSEIDON.

Neuer Anbieter für Expeditionskreuzfahrten: VIVA Cruises treten an

VIVA Cruises ist eine neue Marke der Schweizer Gesellschaft Scylla. Diese übernimmt wie berichtet das Expeditons-Kreuzfahrtschiff BREMEN von Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.

Unter dem neuen Namen SeaVenture soll das Schiff ab Mai 2021 Expeditionskreuzfahrten für VIVA Cruises unternehmen. Die erste Reise soll am 15. Mai 2021 in Amsterdam beginnen, für den 21. Mai 2021 ist ein Besuch in Hamburg vorgesehen. Anschließend sollen mehrere Reisen unternommen werden, u.a. in den Ostsee-Raum, nach Spitzbergen, nach Grönland und Kanada, aber auch an den Südamerikanischen Küsten.

New provider of expedition cruises: VIVA Cruises entering the market

VIVA Cruises is a new brand of the Swiss company Scylla. As reported, they are going to take over the expediton cruise ship BREMEN of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises.
Under the new name SeaVenture the ship is to undertake expedition cruises for VIVA Cruises starting from May 2021. The first trip is scheduled to begin on May 15, 2021 in Amsterdam, and on May 21, 2021, a visit to Hamburg is planned. Subsequently, several trips are to be made, i.a. to the Baltic Sea region, to Spitsbergen, to Greenland and Canada, but also to the South American coasts.
