WORLD SEEKER

Fünftes Schiff der Explorer-Klasse

Auf der West Sea Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, wurde offiziell mit dem Bau der WORLD SEEKER (IMO 9904819), dem fünften Schiff der Explorer-Klasse für Mystic Cruises, begonnen. Fertigstellung des für 200 Passagiere ausgelegten Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff ist für 2025 vorgesehen. Wahrscheinlich wird es dann für Atlas Ocean Voyages fahren.

Schwesterschiffe der WORLD SEEKER sind die WORLD EXPLORER (IMO 9835719), WORLD VOYAGER (IMO 9871529), WORLD NAVIGATOR (IMO 9871531) und WORLD TRAVELLER (IMO 9904807).

Nach der WORLD SEEKER sind mit der WORLD ADVENTURER (IMO 9904912) und WORLD DISCOVERER (IMO 9904924) noch zwei weitere Schiffe der Explorer-Klasse in Planung.

Construction Start for WORLD SEEKER

Fifth Explorer class ship

Construction of WORLD SEEKER (IMO 9904819), the fifth Explorer Class ship for Mystic Cruises, has officially started on West Sea Shipyard in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. The expedition cruise ship, designed for 200 passengers, is scheduled for completion in 2025. She will probably then sail for Atlas Ocean Voyages.

Sister ships of the WORLD SEEKER are the WORLD EXPLORER (IMO 9835719), WORLD VOYAGER (IMO 9871529), WORLD NAVIGATOR (IMO 9871531) and WORLD TRAVELLER (IMO 9904807).

After the WORLD SEEKER, two more Explorer class ships are being planned: the WORLD ADVENTURER (IMO 9904912) and WORLD DISCOVERER (IMO 9904924).

WORLD NAVIGATOR und WORLD TRAVELLER getauft

Atlas Ocean Voyages feierten am 19. Und 20. November 2022 die Taufen ihrer WORLD NAVIGATOR (IMO 9871531) und WORLD TRAVELLER (IMO 9904807). Beide Schiffe wurden in einem Fjord in der chilenischen Gletscherlandschaft am Beagle-Kanal in Patagonien getauft.

Taufpatin der WORLD NAVIGATOR war die Abenteurerin und Forscherin Karen Lundgren, die WORLD TRAVELLER wurde von Theresa Scalzitti, Chief Sales Officer bei Cruise Planners, getauft.

Nach der Taufe der WORLD TRAVELLER am 19. November fand eine Zodiac-Exkursion zum Pia-Gletscher statt, gefolgt von einem abendlichen Gala-Dinner. Die Feierlichkeiten der WORLD NAVIGATOR fanden am 20. November statt, denen ein feierliches Mittagessen an Bord dieses Schiffs vorausging.

Sowohl die WORLD NAVIGATOR als auch die WORLD TRAVELLER sind Polar-Kategorie C- und Eisklasse 1B-zertifiziert und richten sich an neugierige Reisende mit einer Leidenschaft für die Erkundung von abgelegenen Reisezielen. Die stilvollen und intimen Schiffe bieten Fünf-Sterne-Komfort, von einem All-Inclusive-Erlebnis an Bord und luxuriösen Unterkünften bis hin zu tiefgründigen Ausflügen und maßgeschneiderten Privattouren. Mit nur 100 Kabinen an Bord jedes Schiffs genießen die Passagiere ein Gäste-Personal-Verhältnis von fast 1:1

Cruise Ship Double Christening in Glacier Landscape

WORLD NAVIGATOR and WORLD TRAVELER christened

Atlas Ocean Voyages celebrated the naming of their WORLD NAVIGATOR (IMO 9871531) and WORLD TRAVELLER (IMO 9904807) on November 19th and 20th, 2022. Both ships were christened in a fjord in the Chilean glacial landscape of the Beagle Channel in Patagonia.

Godmother for  WORLD NAVIGATOR was adventurer and explorer Karen Lundgren, while WORLD TRAVELLER was christened by Theresa Scalzitti, Chief Sales Officer at Cruise Planners.

After the christening of the WORLD TRAVELLER on November 19th, a Zodiac excursion to the Pia Glacier took place, followed by a gala dinner in the evening. The WORLD NAVIGATOR celebrations took place on November 20th, preceded by a celebratory luncheon aboard this ship.

Both the WORLD NAVIGATOR and WORLD TRAVELLER are polar category C and ice class 1B certified and are aimed at the curious traveller with a passion for exploring remote destinations. Stylish and intimate, the ships offer five-star comfort, from an all-inclusive onboard experience and luxurious accommodation to in-depth excursions and bespoke private tours. With only 100 passenger staterooms on board each ship, passengers enjoy a guest-to-staff ratio of almost 1:1

Mystic Cruises ordern 4 weitere Schiffe

Mystic Cruises bestellen vier weitere Hochsee-Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiffe bei der Westsea-Werft. Die Schiffe sollen Schwesterschiffe der WORLD EXPLORER  werden, die 2019 in Dienst gestellt wurde. Auch die neu bestellten Schiffe werden jeweils für 200 Passagiere ausgelegt und sollen für Atlas Ocean Voyages fahren. Unter dieser Marke treten Mystic Cruises in den USA auf. Die Namen der Schiffe werden sein:

  • WORLD TRAVELLER
  • WORLD SEEKER
  • WORLD ADVENTURER
  • WORLD DISCOVERER

Derzeit in Bau befinden sich bei Westsea im portugiesischen Viana do Castelo die WORLD VOYAGER sowie die WORLD NAVIGATOR.

Mystic Cruises ordering 4 more ships!

Mystic Cruises are ordering four more ocean-going expedition cruise ships from the Westsea shipyard. The ships are to become sister ships of the WORLD EXPLORER, which went into service in 2019. The newly ordered ships are as well designed for 200 passengers each and are to sail for Atlas Ocean Voyages. Mystic Cruises operates under this brand in the USA. The names of the ships will be:

  • WORLD TRAVELLER
  • WORLD SEEKER
  • WORLD ADVENTURER
  • WORLD DISCOVERER

The WORLD VOYAGER and the WORLD NAVIGATOR are currently under construction at Westsea in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
