Die alten Carnival Cruise Liner verschwinden…
Weiterer Cruise Liner auf der Reise zu den Abbrechern
Carnival Cruise Line hatte sich bereits seit 2020 von mehreren ihrer älteren Kreuzfahrtschiffe getrennt, so von der CARNIVAL FANTASY, CARNIVAL INSPIRATION, CARNIVAL FASCINATION und CARNIVAL IMAGINATION. Einige davon gingen gleich zur Abwrackwerft.
Die CARNIVAL FASCINATION wurde zwar an eine asiatische Gesellschaft verkauft, die den Cruise Liner ursprünglich unter dem Namen CENTURY HARMONY weiter nutzen wollte, doch dieses Schiff befindet sich inzwischen auch schon auf seiner letzten Reise, nämlich nach Gadani in Pakistan, wo er verschrottet werden soll.
Nun hat Carnival Cruise Line angekündigt, auch die CARNIVAL ECSTASY und CARNIVAL SENSATION zu verkaufen. Die 1991 bzw. 1993 bei Kværner Masa Yards in Helsinki gebauten Kreuzfahrtschiffe sind derzeit die ältesten in der Flotte von Carnival Cruise Line. Man darf gespannt sein, ob sich noch ein Käufer finden wird, der die Schiffe noch einmal zum Einsatz bringen wird oder ob die beiden Einheiten gleich zu den Abbrechern gefahren werden.

Carnival Cruise Line got rid of several of their older cruise ships since 2020 already, such as CARNIVAL FANTASY, CARNIVAL INSPIRATION, CARNIVAL FASCINATION and CARNIVAL IMAGINATION. Some of them went straight to the scrapyard.
Although the CARNIVAL FASCINATION was sold to an Asian company that originally wanted to continue using the cruise liner under the name CENTURY HARMONY, this ship is now on its last voyage, namely to Gadani in Pakistan, where it is to be scrapped.
Carnival Cruise Line has now announced that it will also sell the CARNIVAL ECSTASY and CARNIVAL SENSATION. Built in 1991 and 1993 respectively at Kværner Masa Yards in Helsinki, the cruise ships are currently the oldest in Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet. It will be interesting to see whether a buyer will be found who will use the ships again or whether the two units will go straight to the demolition sites as well
