VIDANTA WORLD’S ELEGANT Returned to Service
In April of this year, the 36-year-old cruise ship VIDANTA WORLD’S ELEGANT (IMO 8709573) resumed service. Vidanta Cruises, a brand of the Mexican Vidanta Group, offers 7-night cruises on this small vessel in the Western Mediterranean, the Adriatic Sea, the Aegean Sea, as well as to Portugal and the Azores.
Originally designed for 600 passengers, the ship has a capacity of only 216 passengers since its last refurbishment. On board are three restaurants:
– Montelimar for Mediterranean cuisine
– Guo for Asian fusion cuisine
– Flor de Agave for Mexican cuisine
The cruise ship is 152.50 meters long and measures 15,595 gross tons. She was built in 1990 as the CROWN MONARCH at Union Naval de Levante. The ship has previously had several different names and operated for various cruise lines.
