VIKING NEPTUNE aufgeschwommen
Viking Cruises übernehmen dieses Jahr 3 neue Hochsee-Kreuzfahrtschiffe
Bereits am 13. Januar 2022 ist die VIKING NEPTUNE bei Fincantieri in Ancona aufgeschwommen. Das mit 47.800 gross tons vermessene und für 930 Passagiere ausgelegte Schiff ist bereits das neunte Schiff der Venice-Klasse. Die VIKING NEPTUNE soll im November 2022 für Viking Cruises in Dienst gestellt werden. Ihr voran geht die VIKING MARS, die bereits im Mai dieses Jahres abgeliefert werden soll. Mit der ebenfalls für 2022 geplanten Ablieferung des Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiffs VIKING POLARIS werden Viking Cruises somit in diesem Jahr gleich drei neue Hochsee-Kreuzfahrtschiffe übernehmen. Im Frühjahr 2023 soll mit der VIKING SATURN das zehnte Schiff der Venice-Klasse folgen.
Mit Indienststellung soll die VIKING NEPTUNE ihre erste Saison im Mittelmeer verbringen, bevor sie am 20. Dezember 2023 zu einer 138-tägigen Weltreise ab Fort Lauderdale starten soll. Ab 59.995 US-Dollar pro Person ist man dabei, Hin- und Rückflug in der Business Class sowie ein Landausflug in jedem Anlaufhafen sind dabei aber auch schon im Preis inbegriffen.

Viking Cruises take delivery of 3 new Ocean going cruise ships this year
The VIKING NEPTUNE was floated out at Fincantieri yard in Ancona, Italy, on January 13, 2022. The cruise ship, measured at 47,800 gross tons and designed for 930 passengers, is already the ninth ship in the Venice class. The VIKING NEPTUNE is scheduled to enter service for Viking Cruises in November 2022. It is preceded by the VIKING MARS, which is scheduled for delivery in May of this year. With the delivery of the expedition cruise ship VIKING POLARIS, also planned for 2022, Viking Cruises will take over three new ocean-going cruise ships this year. The VIKING SATURN, the tenth ship in the Venice class, is to follow in spring 2023.
Upon commissioning, the VIKING NEPTUNE is to spend her first season in the Mediterranean before starting to sail for a 138-day world cruise from Fort Lauderdale on December 20, 2023. Starting at $59,995 per person, round-trip business class airfare and a shore excursion at each port of call are included in the price.
