Zwei Cruise Liner von Crystal Cruises haben neue Eigentümer gefunden

Mit der Insolvenz von Genting Hong Kong ging Anfang dieses Jahres auch die Tochtergesellschaft Crystal Cruises in die Insolvenz. Folglich standen die Kreuzfahrtschiffe von Crystal zum Verkauf. Die CRYSTAL ENDEAVOR wird wahrscheinlich von Silversea Cruises erworben.

Die CRYSTAL SERENITY (IMO 9243667) sowie die CRYSTAL SYMPHONY (IMO 9066667) haben bereits Käufer gefunden. Für die 1995 gebaute CRYSTAL SYMPHONY wurde ein Preis von lediglich 25 Millionen US-Dollar erzielt, für die 2003 gebaute CRYSTAL SERENITY immerhin ein Preis von 103 Millionen US-Dollar. Als Käufer werden CSY Ltd. für das ältere Schiff und CSE Ltd. für das jüngere genannt. Wer dahinter steckt, ist bisher nicht bekannt, ebenso wenig, welche Pläne die Käufer für die beiden Kreuzfahrtschiffe haben.

With the bankruptcy of Genting Hong Kong earlier this year, the subsidiary Crystal Cruises also filed for bankruptcy. Consequently, Crystal’s cruise ships were up for sale. The CRYSTAL ENDEAVOR is likely to be acquired by Silversea Cruises.

The CRYSTAL SERENITY (IMO 9243667) and the CRYSTAL SYMPHONY (IMO 9066667) have already found buyers. The CRYSTAL SYMPHONY, built in 1995, achieved a price of only 25 million US dollars, while the CRYSTAL SERENITY, built in 2003, reached a price of 103 million US dollars. CSY Ltd. is said tob e the buyer of the older ship and CSE Ltd. of the younger. It is not yet known who is behind those companies, nor what plans the buyers have for the two cruise ships.
