Zweite Kreuzfahrtschiffs-Taufe für die Patin in diesem Jahr

Es war bereits ihre zweite Kreuzfahrtschiffs-Taufe in diesem Jahr: Am 12. Oktober 2023 taufte die bekannte US-amerikanische Meeresbiologin und Ozeanografin Dr. Sylvia Earle die EXPLORA I. Die Feier fand in New York City statt.

Die EXPLORA I (IMO 9869875) ist das erste von sechs Kreuzfahrtschiffen in der im Aufbau befindlichen Flotte von Explora Journeys, der Luxus-Marke von MSC Cruises.

Bereits im Februar dieses Jahres hatte Dr. Sylvia Earle ein nach ihr selbst benannte Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff getauft.

Second cruise ship christening for the godmother this year

It was already her second cruise ship christening this year: On October 12, 2023, the well-known US marine biologist and oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle the EXPLORA I. The celebration took place in New York City.

EXPLORA I (IMO 9869875) is the first of six cruise ships in the developing fleet of Explora Journeys, the luxury brand of MSC Cruises.

Already in February of this year, Dr. Sylvia Earle named an expedition cruise ship named after herself.
