NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE hat Probefahrten absolviert

Die ersten Probefahrten der NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE,(IMO 9842554) einem Luxus-Expeditionskreuzfahrtschiff für Lindblad Expeditions, sind erfolgreich beendet worden. Die Tests fanden im norwegischen Storfjord statt, der die Einfahrt zum berühmten Geirangerfjord darstellt. Das Schiff für 126 Passagiere ist ausgerüstet mit Eisklasse PC5 und verfügt über den markanten und höchst effektiven X-Bow, also die ungewöhnliche Bugform, die sowohl Schlingerbewegungen absorbiert als auch für Treibstoff-Einsparungen sorgt. Der X-Bow ist ein Patent der Ulstein-Werft, auf welcher die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE auch gebaut wird. Derzeit befindet sich das Schiff in der Endausrüstung. Die Ablieferung ist für März 2020 vorgesehen, die Jungfernfahrt soll im April stattfinden und nach Spitzbergen führen.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE has completed first sea trials

The first sea trials of the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO9842554), a luxury expedition cruise ship for Lindblad Expeditions, have been successfully completed. The tests took place in the Norwegian Storfjord, which is the entrance to the famous Geirangerfjord. The ship for 126 passengers is equipped with ice class PC5 and has the striking and highly effective X-Bow, i.e. the unusual shape of the bow, which both absorbs rolling movements and saves fuel. The X-Bow is a patent of the Ulstein shipyard, on which the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE is also built. The ship is currently under final outfitting. Delivery is scheduled for March 2020, the maiden voyage is to take place in April, on which the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE will sail to Spitsbergen.
