Innovatives X-Bow-Kreuzfahrtschiff auf dem Endspurt zur Fertigstellung
Am 8. Juni 2021 wurde auf der norwegischen Ulstein-Werft die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) ausgedockt. Der neue Cruise Liner fällt schon äußerlich durch seinen innovativen und treibstoff-sparenden X-Bow auf. Das Expeditions-Kreuzfahrtschiff, das für Lindblad Expeditons gebaut wird, ist für 126 Passagiere in 69 Außenkabinen ausgelegt. Fast alle Kabinen sind mit Balkons ausgestattet. Mit Eisklasse PC5 ist das Schiff bestens für Kreuzfahrten in die Polar-Regionen geeignet.
Die NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION soll im 4. Quartal 2021 an Lindblad Expeditions abgeliefert werden. Sie ist ein Schwesterschiff der 2020 fertig gestellten NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), die seither wegen der Corona-Pandemie im norwegischen Ulsteinvik bzw. in Skagen und in Odense aufgelegt wurde.

Innovative X-Bow cruise ship nearing completion
On June 8, 2021, the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION (IMO 9880685) was docked out at the Norwegian Ulstein shipyard. The new Cruise Liner’s most outstanding feature is the innovative and fuel-saving X-Bow. The expedition cruise ship, which is under construction for Lindblad Expeditons, is designed for 126 passengers in 69 outside cabins. Almost all cabins are equipped with balconies. With polar class PC5, the ship is ideally suited for cruises into the polar regions.
The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION is scheduled to be delivered to Lindblad Expeditions in the 4th quarter of 2021. She is a sister ship of the 2020 completed NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC ENDURANCE (IMO 9842554), which has since been laid up due to the corona pandemic in Ulsteinvik, Norway, resp. in Skagen and Odense.
